#TeamTUSD: Erica Kaufman-Haas

A woman in glasses and a gray shirt smiles with her arms crossedErica has been with Rincon as an office manager for just under a year, and this is her first time working in education. Before joining our team, she had a diverse background in business. But since coming to Rincon, she’s found a new passion, working with students! She says interacting with them is the highlight of her job, and they bring her so much energy and joy.

The staff at our school is another reason she loves working here. Erica describes her coworkers as incredibly supportive and dedicated, with so much knowledge to share.

Outside of work, Erica keeps busy with her love for sewing. She has a degree in fashion and enjoys making everything from dresses to napkins and other home projects.

#TeamTUSD: Michelle Santa Cruz

A woman in a red shirt smiles with her arms crossed in the school's front officeMichelle is the Attendance Registration Tech at Rincon and has been with the school for 4 ½ years.

Her favorite part of the job? The people! Michelle loves interacting with students and staff, and she’s especially proud of starting a fun Halloween tradition at Rincon. Each year, she sets up candy bins for the students, encouraging them to dress up and say “trick-or-treat” for candy, and the participation keeps growing every year!

Being at the front office means Michelle is often the first face parents and students see when they come in. She believes her job is important because she helps support families, whether it's dealing with a tough situation or offering assistance to get kids on track.

Outside of work, Michelle has a second business making balloons and decorations for events like birthdays and weddings. What started as a hobby for family celebrations turned into a full-fledged business called Balloons and Beyond by Michelle.
